Factory worker pinned by over a ton of steel!

At 9:30 this morning, a factory worker in Carlstadt, New Jersey was in the middle of work when something went horribly wrong. The factory worker who suffered the injury was actually a crane operator. Despite his best efforts, he couldn't stop the crane in time, and the load of steel that he was moving fell from the crane's clutches, crushing him.

What happens when nobody can pay for your accident?

Can you believe that the site's already been live for a month and a half? In that time, we've discussed a number of cases, ranging from enormous product recalls that involve thousands of people, to individual torts that impact only a single person. While the circumstances of these cases are very different, they can both fall under the umbrella of "Premises liability."

Right now, it's important for everyone to stay inside and wait until the harsh winds calm down and the snow stops piling up. However, once the storm is over and some time is passed, the conditions outside will still be dangerous. James Duboise learned this the hard way!
