Some time ago, we were nominated as one of best Pre-Settlement Funding firms in New Jersey. Over the past two months, we went up against 25 other consumer litigation funding providers, in a contest where the people who'd worked with those companies got to decide which one they felt was the best. Out of everyone competing, we were the newest company by several years, and in some cases we were going up against companies that had been around for decades.

Not to be outdone by New York, New Jersey or Texas, Connecticut's also nominated us as one of the best Pre-Settlement Funding providers in the state. This is the fourth time we've received this honor, and it's still just as exciting as when we first got it!

This Monday, Simia fought for justice in a different way than usual - by hitting the golf course! We teamed up with our great friends at the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, who were hosting their annual Stephen G. Friedler memorial golf tournament. The tournament helped CTLA’s Civil Justice Foundation raise money for Smilow Cancer Pediatric Oncology Unit, and it gave us a chance to show off our skills!

At Simia, we care about the people we fund. Since we've opened our doors, we've come across people who have inspired us with their bravery and determination in the face of adversity. The late nights and difficult months have been well worth it because of the people we've helped and the stories we've seen. From the proud home owner who was finally able to turn the lights back on, or the elderly couple that was given a few more years together that they almost lost, we're grateful for everyone we've come across.

We're starting off the week with an exciting announcement - Texas Lawyer, which had previously nominated us as one of the best Pre-Settlement Funding firms in the state, has officially opened up their survey for voting. That means that the contest is officially underway, and Simia's competing to be honored as the best in our industry!

If you remember, we were recently honored by both New York and New Jersey as one of the best Pre-Settlement Funding firm in those states. Not to be outdone by those two states, Texas just nominated us for one of the best Pre-Settlement Funding firms as well. This is the third state we've gotten this honor in, so we're officially on a roll!

At Simia, we're always making a point of working alongside those in the legal industry who seek to help others. We recently connected with the great people at IME Watchdog, and after realizing what they've done to illuminate the truth in personal injury cases, we knew they deserved a spotlight. An IME is an Independent Medical Exam, and it's fairly common for an IME to be conducted at some point in a personal injury case. However, plaintiffs who aren't prepared or attorneys who aren't diligent when the IME happens may be badly taken advantage of. The very real concern that people have is that an IME could really be a way to destroy a plaintiff's credibility, casting doubt on the nature of their injury.

Yesterday, we were very excited to hear that we'd been recognized as one of the best Pre-Settlement Funding firms in NJ by the New Jersey Law Journal. Today, we've got even more great news. In addition to being recognized in New Jersey, our efforts are also being acknowledged in New York! That means we're being hailed as one of the best firms in our industry in both NJ and NY, and have a chance at winning the top spot in both.
